Below is a list of our current positions and requirements available. Please be sure to read the description of the position that you are applying for. Once you have applied for a position a current Staff member may invite you to a one to one call using Discord.
vABY has a huge dynamic network with five operators. Each network is split down to their operating hubs. An area manager is responsible for the upkeep of routes and fleet assignment within their network. There can be multiple area managers for each network as this task of keeping them up to date can be demanding. That being said, the end result keeps our schedules and fleet up to date and inline with the real world operator.
*Upon application you can choose the network you wish to apply for either the UAE, Egypt, Morocco and Pakistan. If a network isn’t listed there are no vacancies for that network.
Requirements for this role:
- Good English skills (written and spoken).
- At least 50 hours flown towards the virtual airline at the time of application.
- To have knowledge of the network you wish to area manage.
- Be a current member of the vABY Discord server.
Responsibilities for this role:
- Prepared to spend a few hours a week/month checking and updating routes and schedules.
- Work closely with other staff members ensuring the correct aircraft are operating within the correct network.
As the Events Manager it would be your responsibility to arrange events between current partners and vABY. Events play a key part of a virtual airline being active within a community and it helps member growth as we’re seen to be active.
Requirements for this role:
- Good English skills (written and spoken).
- At least 50 hours flown towards the virtual airline at the time of application.
- Preferably experience within VATSIM or IVAO or currently a serving staff member in a division.
- Be a current member of the vABY Discord server.
Responsibilities for this role:
- Organising events with current partners.
- Maintaining current partnerships.
- Co-ordinate between vABY and partners.
As a Base Captain you will be responsible for the operations at your hub ensuring the correct routes and aircraft are in operation. You will be managing the pilots, being their first point of contact if they have any issues regarding any operations.
Requirements for this role:
- Good English skills (written and spoken).
- Hold the rank of Captain within vABY at the time of application OR same requirements as Training Captain.
- Be a current member of the vABY Discord server.
Responsibilities for this role:
- Manage and the review of operations at your base.
- Work along side Area & Fleet Managers to ensure flight plans and fleet are up to date and correct.
- Validating PIREPs associated with your base.
- Depending on experience, you may be asked to assist in other operations to help improve the virtual airline.
Are you currently type rated on the A320 family? We’re looking for pilots who hold a real world type rating to join our team. You will ensure the operations of our virtual fleet are in line with the real world operator as much as possible. You’ll be providing information within our Discord of company operations as well as working with other Staff members to publish relevant documentation for operations if necessary.
Requirements for this role:
- Good English skills (written and spoken).
- You must hold a current A320 family type rating or currently progressing with ATPL(A) (real world only) preferably operating for the real world operator.
- Be a current member of the vABY Discord server.
Responsibilities for this role:
- Prepared to spend a few hours a week giving advice, answering questions and ensuring our pilots have access to correct procedures.
- Conduct of line training or ground training if or when applicable.
- Work closely with other staff to ensure PIREP scoring and operations are conducted as realistically as possible.
- Depending on experience, you may be asked to assist in other operations to help improve the virtual airline.
